Self Constructions: Works by Audrey Riley, Emma Downs, Amanda Joseph, Rebecca Stockert, Holly Hardin-Clabaugh, and Alethea Gerardot explores the work six female artists and the ways in which they use portraiture, self-portraiture, and character development as key concepts in their art practice. Viewed through a peripheral feminist lens, Self Constructions questions the art historical basis of the feminine creative quality in its myriad forms.
