The late 1950s and 1960s planted the seeds for the print boom in the U.S. This talk will discuss the founding of Pratt Graphic Art Center, Tamarind Lithography Workshop, and Universal Limited Art Editions; workshops that were integral in the resurgence of interest in lithography, a medium some considered on the verge of extinction. Works by artists produced at these workshops include Lesley Dill, Bill Jensen, Jasper Johns, and Fritz Scholder, among others
