Works on paper by American artist Alexander Calder and Catalan artist Joan Miró

After meeting in 1928 while Calder was living in Paris, the pair remained lifelong friends. Although separated by the Atlantic Ocean and limited in means of communication due to the language barrier, their work shared an affinity in their pursuit of abstraction using colorful organic forms and lyrical lines.
