The Spellbound Spirit

Join Curator and FWMoA Registrar, Lauren Wolfer, in a tour of The Spellbound Spirit: Photographs by Kirsty Mitchell. A master storyteller through her photography, Kirsty Mitchell embarks on a journey through her newest series, Quiescence, that follows her transition from motherhood to being diagnosed with breast cancer. The origins of the title Quiescence comes from its meaning, referring to a prolonged period of quietness or stillness. On view for the first time in the United States, this exhibition features new works from the Quiescence series, a story of maternal power, life, and mortality, paired with her signature fantastical visuals from the Wonderland series.
