Over the past decade, the Fort Wayne Museum of Art has developed one of the fastest growing public collections of glass sculpture. With a focus on telling the visual history of the Studio Glass movement, our collection has been built by donors, collectors, and the artists themselves who gave generously to aid in this pursuit. Specifically, this exhibition presents a selection of glass acquired by the museum through donation and purchase over the past year. Some of the artists in this exhibition will be familiar to our visitors and others, a delightful surprise. All exemplify the beauty, versatility, and luminosity of glass as a sculptural medium, proving the genius of the artists, the enthusiasm of the collectors, and the sheer delight of this form of art.

Support for this exhibition is provided by the Edward D. and Ione Auer Foundation.
