Creatures of Curiosity: Photographs by JP Terlizzi

Dating to the 15th century BCE, the still life, an arrangement of inanimate objects, as subject and genre have remained an integral part of art history. Spanning thousands of years, styles, and mediums, the still life continues into the world of contemporary art.

JP Terlizzi’s still life photography delves into the depths of familial heritage and personal narratives, constructing visual tales that bridge past and present with themes of memory, relationship, and identity. JP Terlizzi is a New York City visual artist juried into FWMoA’s The National: Best Contemporary Photography exhibition in 2022 and awarded First Prize.
