The American Art Pottery movement began in the late 1800s in the studios and potteries of Ohio and produced some of the finest examples of ceramics in a variety of colors, shapes, and sizes. Roseville Pottery was among the best art pottery created and is still highly sought by collectors around the world. “Beauty imprisoned and preserved in imperishable creations” was the stated goal of the artists working for Roseville. This exhibition features an array of beautiful examples of ceramic art from sixty-two of Roseville’s most popular patterns. These glorious objects, presented in entrancing variety, are the fruition of more than four decades of Roseville’s master artisans.
