Second Thursdays at FWMoA are a chance to explore the museum in a social atmosphere through conversation and discovery, featuring art and gallery activities led by museum curators and artists. The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards turn 100 in 2023! Join us as we empower the next century of creative teens.  In celebration of this year’s regional award winners, the Fort Wayne Museum of Art will host a Scholastic Centennial Celebration as part of the FWMoA Second Thursdays.  Enjoy free admission, cash bar, “mocktails” and light appetizers on March 9, 2023, 5-730pm. The evening will feature art and gallery activities led by Museum staff. The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards features the Gold and Silver Key winning art and writing by students in grades 7-12 from Northern Indiana and Northwest Ohio. The exhibition features hundreds of paintings, drawings, sculptures, graphics, photographs, mixed-media projects, and all genre of written pieces, each expressing topics that inspire creative teens today.
