Here and Now: A Survey on New Contemporary Art

March 14, 2020 - August 30, 2020

Here and Now is an exhibition of eleven artists who consistently contribute to the New Contemporary Art movement. Their collected works offer viewers a snap-shot of the genera as it develops within an accelerated media environment. The exhibition highlights the largest expansion of a style since postmodernism featuring works that subvert traditional art conventions by reappraising the place of craft, underrepresented creators and nontraditional mediums.

Artists include: Shepard Fairey, Swoon, GATS, AJ Fosik, Michael Reeder, Dan Witz, Kris Kuksi, Ben Venom, Dennis McNett, Chis Martin, Kathryn Polk, Caitlin McCormack.

Here and Now: A Survey on New Contemporary Art is organized by Josef Zimmerman, Curator of Contemporary Art at the Fort Wayne Museum of Art, and Ken Harman, Director and Head Curator at Hashimoto Contemporary.
