Center has been redesigned for art exploration for all ages

October 14, 2019 – Fort Wayne, Ind. – The Fort Wayne Museum of Art is pleased to announce the unveiling of the newly renovated John S. and James L. Knight Learning Center. The Center has been redesigned for students and families to build authentic and creative hands-on experiences based on the art they see in the FWMoA galleries. Though FWMoA has offered a hands-on environment for children for nearly 10 years, it has evolved to meet the changing needs of children, families, and educators.

Stanczak’s pioneering work will be presented with the sculpture of his wife, Barbara

July 22, 2019 – Fort Wayne, Ind. – The Fort Wayne Museum of Art is pleased to present Full Spectrum: Paintings, Drawings and Prints of Julian Stanczak; Wood and Stone Sculptures of Barbara Stanczak, a unique exhibition of the work of Julian Stanczak a pioneer of the Optical Art movement, and the work of his wife, sculptor of the natural world Barbara Stanczak. The exhibition is on view August 17-November 24, 2019.

$75,000 grant will support programs for underserved audiences

June 25, 2019 – Fort Wayne, Ind. – The Fort Wayne Museum of Art is pleased to announce the receipt of a $75,000 grant from Wells Fargo & Company. The funds support socially responsible programs that target the community’s underserved audiences.

The Museum of Art celebrates the state’s early painters turned printmakers

April 11, 2019 – Fort Wayne, Ind. – The Fort Wayne Museum of Art is pleased to present “The Ideal Sketching Ground: Prints by the Artists of Brown County,” an exhibition of over 100 works in intaglio, woodcut, and monotype by Brown County artists of the early 20thcentury. The exhibition opens April 20 and runs through August 4, 2019.
