Martin Blank’s Repose in Amber is one of the largest hot-sculpted landscapes in the world
November 20, 2018 – Fort Wayne, Ind. – The Fort Wayne Museum of Art is pleased to invite members of the press to observe the installation of its largest indoor sculptural installation to date, Martin Blank’s Repose in Amber. The artist and his team of two will be on-site beginning November 26, with installation activity primarily from November 27-29. FWMoA will be scheduling interviews with the artist during this time.

November 14, 2018 – Fort Wayne, Ind. – The Fort Wayne Museum of Art is pleased to present to the community an exhibition that celebrates the storied history of the Fort Wayne Art School from 1888 to its evolution as the fine arts department of today’s Purdue University Fort Wayne. “1026 West Berry Street: The Fort Wayne Art School,” opens November 17 and will remain on view until February 10, 2019.
Medieval To Metal: The Art & Evolution Of The Guitar opens September 29
September 5, 2018 – Fort Wayne, Ind. – The Fort Wayne Museum of Art is proud to present “Medieval To Metal: The Art & Evolution Of The Guitar”, a touring exhibition on view at FWMoA September 29-January 6 that celebrates the artistic development of the guitar.
Including a sister exhibition of work from the psychedelic era opening September 8
August 27, 2018 – Fort Wayne, Ind. – The Fort Wayne Museum of Art is pleased to announce dual exhibitions exploring the intersection of art, music, and journalism, and their influence by the psychedelic era of the 1960s.
On September 8, FWMoA will open Litmus Test: Works on Paper from the Psychedelic Era, followed by the opening of All Access: Exploring Humanism in the Art of Chuck Sperry a week later on September 15.
$25,000 grant will support programs for underserved audiences
August 23, 2018 – Fort Wayne, Ind. – The Fort Wayne Museum of Art is pleased to announce the receipt of a $25,000 grant from Wells Fargo & Company. The funds support socially responsible programs that target the community’s underserved audiences.
