Exhibition of works from two portfolios focusing on Mexico, from various points of view. The Mexican People Portfolio (1964) was published by the Taller de Gráfica Popular (in conjunction with Associated American Artists in New York). Prints by mostly Mexican artists show the different regions of Mexico and the people. In contrast, The Mexican Portfolio (1967) consists of photogravures of American photographer Paul Strand’s photographs that he shot upon the invitation of the Mexican government in 1932-33.
