National Medal of Arts recipient exhibits a stunning collection of large-format black-and-white photographs that capture untouched parts of the nation’s largest subtropical wilderness.

November 13, 2024 (Fort Wayne, IN) – The Fort Wayne Museum of Art is pleased to present America’s Everglades: Through the Lens of Clyde Butcher now through January 26, 2025 in the Museum’s galleries at 311 E. Main Street. Known for his large-scale, black and white photography, recent National Medal of Arts recipient Clyde Butcher captures with astounding clarity precious landscapes and ecosystems across the United States, most notably, his home of the Florida Everglades.

A community celebration and exhibition of joyous remembrance at the Fort Wayne Museum of Art 

October 1, 2024 (Fort Wayne, IN) – The Fort Wayne Museum of Art is pleased to present “Día de los Muertos,” on view October 12 through December 1, 2024. Artists, families, and community groups around the region were invited to honor a lost loved one or another important figure by constructing an altar in the museum.

Massive chandelier by celebrated American glass artist Dale Chihuly installed

August 15, 2024 (Fort Wayne, IN) – The Fort Wayne Museum of Art is thrilled to announce the unveiling of the Amber & Waterford Crystal Chandelier by Dale Chihuly, internationally renowned glass artist. The piece is illuminated, permanently installed and available for viewing at the museum.

FWMoA invites the public to participate in joyous remembrance in annual exhibition

July 17, 2024 (Fort Wayne, IN) – The Fort Wayne Museum of Art is accepting proposals from artists, families, and community groups around the region to honor a lost loved one or another important figure in an altar at the annual Día de Muertos Exhibition and Celebration. Interested participants are encouraged to submit a proposal of an ofrenda altar or offering honoring the life and memory of lost loved ones as part of a celebration of the traditions of Día de Muertos (Day of the Dead).

Exhibition of Hoosier Salon Artists in State-wide Celebration of Centennial 

July 9, 2024 (Fort Wayne, IN) – The Fort Wayne Museum of Art is privileged to present “From Their Indiana Home: Artists of the Hoosier Salon from the Permanent Collection,” an exhibition of Hoosier Salon artists on view July 13, 2024 through October 06, 2024 in honor of the Salon’s Centennial.
